Dr. Peterson is a veterinarian who, over the last 45-plus years, has become renowned for advancing the world’s understanding of feline hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. Since 2012, Dr. Peterson has limited his practice to the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid disease in cats, with a primary focus on the proper treatment of feline hyperthyroidism with radioiodine (131-I).
Our goal is to carefully titrate and individualize each cat’s dose to as low as possible to still cure hyperthyroidism without inducing hypothyroidism. This low-dose approach also limits the radiation exposure to your cat, as well as to you and your family.
