Courtney Barden

Ms. Barden advises AEC's management on client relations, administration, hiring, and aspects of animal care at the “cat spa.”

Despite her passion and expertise with animals, her career began in education. Proficient in Japanese, she taught English as a second language to Japanese children and adults while living in Japan. After returning to the U.S., she became a second-grade teacher before transitioning to teaching health and physical education for K-5 students. She also coached a running club at P.S. 60 in the Bronx and The School at Columbia University.

Ms. Barden holds an M.A. in Physical Education from Teachers College at Columbia University, an M.Ed. in Early Education from Mercy College, and a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University.
