Dr. Stefanie DeMonaco received her DVM degree from Kansas State University in 2011. She went on to complete a medical internship and residency at the Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She stayed on at the Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine as Assistant Professor until 2022, when she moved to work at the new college of Veterinary Medicine at Long Island University as Associate Professor.

Dr. DeMonaco is certified as an ACVIM-boarded small animal internal medicine specialist.

She has a long interest in hyperthyroidism in cats and previously led the radioactive iodine program at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.
