Michael R. Broome, DVM,
MS, Dip. ABVP

Dr. Michael R. Broome was awarded a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1985 followed by a Masters of Science degree in 1986, both from the University of California-Davis. He obtained board certification from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, Companion Animal in 1992 and 2002.

 

In 1986, Dr. Broome established the world’s first private practice for companion animals devoted exclusively to nuclear scintigraphy and the treatment of feline and canine hyperthyroidism. Located in Orange County California, Advanced Veterinary Medical Imaging (originally named Veterinary Nuclear Imaging) is one the busiest imaging centers for animals in the country.

 

Dr. Broome is a well-recognized expert in the field of veterinary nuclear scintigraphy, with over 25 years of experience with nuclear imaging in small animals. Mike’s role in the AEC’s Nuclear Imaging for Animals is to review each of our nuclear imaging studies and provide a interpretive report of the images, including his diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
